Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the term dates?

Year 2024

Unit 3 & 4 Term Dates (2 hours/ lesson)

Term 1 5/1 – 28/3 (12 weeks)

Term 2  29/3 – 27/6 (13 weeks)

Term 3 28/6 – 19/9 (12 weeks)

Term 4 20/9 – prior to exam ( 12 intensive lessons)

 

Year 7-10 and Unit 1&2 Term Dates (1.5 hours/lesson)

Term 1 26/1 – 28/3 (9 weeks)

Term 2  12/4 – 27/6 (11 weeks)

Term 3 12/7 – 19/9 (10 weeks)

Term 4 4/10 – 12/12 ( 10 weeks)

Enrolment for classes will be closed once a maximum of 12 students is reached.

2. How are fees paid and what are the payment terms?

Fees are paid per term and prior to the start of the term. Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer.

The terms are as below:

There will be no refund once payment has been made due to
– Change of mind
– Clashes with other activities/ family holidays etc
– Non-attendance/ transportation issues etc

If any student is unable to attend due to sickness, a make-up class can be arranged within that term or as agreed.

It is important that students attend lessons on time as it is hard to extend lessons due to other lessons commencing straight after.

3. How many students will there be in each class?

As the focus is on student learning, we will ensure a maximum of 12 students per class.

4. Can I join midway through the term?

To minimise disruption to the class, students are highly encouraged to enrol at the start of term. For students enrolling mid-term, some face-to-face lessons may be recommended.

5. What if I miss a lesson or if the lesson falls on a public holiday?

There will be notes available on Google Classroom and students can arrange for a replacement class if ample time is given. Again, students are highly encouraged to attend their usual classes regularly. Classes that fall on public holidays will be re-scheduled.
